The night entailed Irish folk traditions of storytelling by Limericks very own Seanchai Tim Evans and traditional Irish Music by Batt O'Connor accompanied by Eoghan Mac Aodhagain on Flute and Tin Whistle. There was a great turnout on the top floor of The Locke and the cosy atmosphere lent well to the evening.
The evening opened with music from Batt and Eoghan to get things going and soon everyone was clapping and singing along. Then Limericks own Seanchai Tim Evans regaled the audience with tales of Irish Yanks and many more entertaining stories. As the night went on members of the audience were coaxed to join in with the singing and the night went along swimmingly.
The event was organised by Teresa Altersberger and many others and thanks go out to the sponsors of the event and prizes in the draw. The Locke Bar and Oyster House, Le Chocolat Hair Salon, The River Bistro on Georges Quay, Michael Gleeson Shoes, The Cornstore Restaurant on Thomas St. The Savoy Hotel and Maureen Meleady from Hampers4all in Castleconnell.
