New talent to showcase in ‘Beauty and The Beast’ pantomime at LIT.

There is plenty to celebrate at this year’s CentreStage Productions Pantomime in the LIT Millennium Theatre, Limerick. The cast headed by stalwart Myles Breen as the hilarious Dame Mrs Potty is introducing new and emerging talent to the Limerick stage over the Christmas.

Hilary Burke is no stranger to musical theatre, but this year she has secured the title role of Belle in Beauty and the Beast. ‘ We are delighted to be supporting local emerging talent’ explains Director Richie Ryan. ‘In the past we have introduced through our pantomime Amanda Minihan, Jessica Brey, Denise Broderick, Brian McCann, Liam O’Brien, Una O’Driscoll and Hollie O’Donoghue’. Last year we introduced to Limerick audiences Jamie Sheehan who recently played the Tin Man in The Wiz at UCH.’ ‘We are always delighted to showcase the fantastic local singing and acting talents’. Continued Richie.

This year we will also be featuring Raquel Rocca as the fairy Godmother. Raquel has just recorded her debut album. CentreStage will also introduce Piotr Matijczak from Poland as Guisseppi Diablo.

The cast will also include Conor J Ryan, who has wowed audiences with his Sunday nights at Dolan’s.

The bashful Beast will be played by Aidan Crowe from Limerick. Aidan has just finished a sell out run of ‘What the Dicken’s is Wilde doing Here’ in the Back Loft in Dublin.

The CentreStage KIDS, who recently performed with Fake That in UCH, will also feature in the panto along with the CentreSage TEENS and the Flawless Dance Groupe fresh after their RTE Toy Show appearance.

‘This years production will feature musical numbers familiar to everyone. The music will include ‘She Said, Waka Waka, Dynamite and Promises along with more tradition numbers from Beauty and the Beast’ under the musical direction of Bryan Meehan and Jonny Daly.

Audiences are reminded to note the starting times of this years pantomime. They are 2.30pm and 6.30pm.
