Launch of Greyhound Benefit Night

Funds raised from the benefit night (Saturday 16 October in the new Limerick Stadium) will go directly towards the running costs of St. Gabriel’s hydrotherapy pool. Annually, those costs reach €150,000 and are sourced through various fundraising activities but the benefits of this hydrotherapy pool for the children with disabilities who use it far outweigh the yearly outlay. Children who are unable to walk as a result of road traffic accidents, cerebral palsy or other traumatic injuries can relax and move more easily and independently in the pool, where they experience confidence and freedom they otherwise find difficult to achieve. Parents of children with sensory conditions report improvements in their children’s sleeping patterns and social behavior, resulting in great enhancement to their family’s quality of life. They need to continue this work. St Gabriel's are very grateful for your support now more than ever.

the 17/18/19th Of September 2010, the Candeias group organised several events around Limerick.
Including a Street Roda to demonstrate the skills of Capoeira. Also a Brazilian themed night in Bentleys Bar.

Charity Cycle to Kilkee

I was on the way to the Tunnel this morning heading to Shannon when I spotted the Charity Cycle to Kilkee on its way out from the start in town. I pulled in and got a few quick snaps of them as they passed. ( allways have a camera handy! )

The Delta Soccer Dome is now open for business, located next door to Delta Karting this facility will add greatly to the all weather sports scene in Limerick. with 7 indoor Astro Turf pitches and utilizing the latest in 3G astro turf the pitches can be opened up together providing an area of 60 meters by 20 meters large enough for full squad training out of the Irish winter weather!

For Tennis fans there are 2 syntethic grass Tennis courts and also 1 indoor solid wood sports floor for badminton and basketball.

Delta Soccer Dome also caters for Kids Parties offering the ultimate soccer party guests get a match, penalty shoot out and novelty soccer games lasting 90 minutes on one of our 3G pitches. All parties have a supervisor / games co-ordinator and are supervised from start to finish. Guests will then be catered for in our spacious party rooms where they will be served refreshments. For €15 a head, each child gets:

Chicken nuggets
Cocktail sausages
French fries
Orange and Blackcurrant Squash
Sweets and Crisps (served with your birthday cake, if you choose to bring one)
A goodie bag with novelty toys, crisps and sweets!
Minimum Group size: 8.

PRICES
5 a side Soccer

€60.00 per hour peak time (6pm – 11pm Monday to Friday).
€50.00 per hour off peak time (9am – 6pm Monday to Friday)
€50.00 per hour Sat & Sun.
Indoor tennis

€24 per court per hour. Tennis courts may only be reserved from 9am – 6pm Monday – Friday and 10am – 12pm Saturday and Sunday
